Celebrating Pink Founder Models for ‘Portraits of Courageous Beauty’ project sponsored by Working With Artists

9News interviewed Elizabeth Brown of Celebrating Pink for her participation in the nonprofit Working With Artists (WWA) Program for its project entitled “Portraits of Courageous Beauty.”A book with portraits of more than 40 survivor-models is on sale at the WWA gallery in Lakewood and proceeds benefit the nonprofit artist program.

Where did Celebrating Pink come from?

Everyone has a story to tell. Elizabeth’s focuses on wellness, not sickness. She’s a hard-working breast health advocate who has turned her personal cancer battle into a business of “Celebrating Pink.”

 

‘2011 Pink Mother of the Year’

We are honored to be led by such a strong businesswoman who is also a mother of three. Elizabeth received the honor of “2011 Pink Mother of the Year” by the Susan G. Komen Denver Metropolitan Affiliate.

Elizabeth honored as one of ’20 Extraordinary Women’

Denver’s KOSI 101 radio honored Celebrating Pink’s Elizabeth Brown as one of “20 Extraordinary Women.” From CEOs of the boardroom to CEOs of the household, these women have been recognized by their friends, family, co-workers and peers for their hard work, dedication and perseverance to transform the lives of those around them.

Denver Business Journal: Elizabeth Nominated as ‘Top Women in Business‘

Elizabeth Brown was nominated for one of the “Top Women in Business” sponsored by the Denver Business Journal.  Elizabeth was among hundreds of business owners and executives considered for the honor.  She and other nominees were congratulated at a luncheon held in August 2011.

 

Celebrating Pink Founder joins CU Development Committee

Elizabeth was selected to serve on the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Center’s Development Committee. She started her role in September 2011.

 

Elizabeth Models for ‘Pink Heals’ Fashion Show

Elizabeth joined other health advocates as a featured model for the Cancer Treatment Center and Susan G. Komen’s “Pink Heals” fashion show in August, 2011. She was chosen as one of eight models to showcase women and men who have survived and thrived after a cancer diagnosis.
